Dinosaur Expedition Package

The shoreline of Williston Lake in the Northern Rockies of British Columbia has long been known as a world-class area for Fossil Hunting. Your Expedition Leader will take you by boat to rock outcrops along the shoreline of the Peace Reach Arm of the lake. Here the Jurassic and Triassic Rock formations are exposed to the surface. Geological and Fossil evidence in this area indicates that the Peace Region was at one time a sea floor west of the Pangean Continental Shelf. While Dinosaurs ruled the land the Ichthyosaur and Plesiosaurs ruled these oceans. We will take you to the site were the Ichthyosaur Hudsonelpidia (Named after the town of Hudsons Hope) was discovered. Every year we find new fossilized remains of Ichthyosaurs as well as numerous Ammonites, Conodonts and different species of clams (bivalves) and shells. Join us, become a Fossil Hunter and learn about what happened over 200 million years ago.

    This Package can be booked on a daily basis and includes the following:

    The Dinosaur Expedition Includes:
    • Full Board Accommodations in Torwood Lodge based on double occupancy
    • Daily 7 hour guided Expedition on Williston Lake with our 33 ft. Power Cruiser Divine Time.
    • Tools like Geologists Hammer, Chisels and Goggles.
    • Use of all Lodge Facilities like sauna, outdoor Jacuzzi, fitness center and free wireless Internet.

    • Patio Room Lake View $490 CAD
    • Upper Floor Room Lake View $485 CAD
    • Upper Floor Room Forest View $465 CAD


      • Additional Services:

    • Transfer Fort St. John to Torwood Lodge $30 CAD each way.
    • SPECIAL DINO EXPEDITION for CHILDREN 6 to 13 years of age are available. These expeditions are 2 to 6 days in length and require a minimum of 4 participants.
